What does ressourceful people do?

Why are some people succesful in every little detail of their lives?

They are:
·      healthy
·      somewhat wealthy
·      have responsible kids
·      in charge of their career
·      succesful in their jobs
·      etc. etc.

What is that these people do?

There is a pattern in the behaviour and the way these people handle challenges and obstacles in life.

Life in the fast lane

Today we live a life with little room left for contemplation...

We live in a time where informations are overwhelming and if we should cope with and deal with all this information we would be buried alive in an information overflow – resulting in stress, frustrated parents, annoying co-workers etc. etc. many of the symptoms we already see today in the modern society.

Information overflow

Today in 2012 we have 24-7 access to e-mail, social media, and company specific applications. Not only do we have access we also seem to be growing an addiction to this access. What is the first thing you do in the morning when you get up? It’s not unlikely that you check your e-mail, or facebook, or read a breaking news newsletter from your preferred newsprovider.

So what happens when you rush down lifes highway worried about being overtaken by the other trafficants? How often do you stop and check whether you are going in the right direction? Are you driving the right car? Are your passengers the ones you really like to be driving with?

What does ressourceful people do?

Ressourceful people are good at taking the next exit on the highway and make a break. In this break they ASSESS.

Assess

Where are you? Where are you with your familiy, your job, your clients, your deals, your career?

Once in a while we need to stop up and think about where we are. Make an assessment on the status of our life. Are we going in the right direction? Travelling in the righ car? What about the passengers?

Instead of just rushing along ressourceful people stop and think. They assess their current situation.

Reflect

However it is not enough just to stop up and assess your situation. You NEED to make som reflections.

Why are you where you are? Why are you driving this particular highway? Why are you driving south instead of north? Why are you driving a Ford instead of a Lexus? Why are you alone in the car?

Plan

When you in detail have made your reflections and found explanations to your current situation it’s much easier to plan what to do in order to improve on the different parameters.

Some elements of your planning could be:
- I need to turn the car around (I’m going the wrong direction)
- I need a bigger car
- I need passengers in my car

You might find that some of your plans include other people. So make a team and focus on the same goals.

Execute

When the planning is carefully completed – you need to start executing on the different actions. Perhaps you need co-workers to help you with the execution, perhaps you need your family. However once the planning is complete, proper execution of your plan is much easier.

This is basically the secret behind many ressourceful people. They Assess, Reflect, Plan and Execute.

That is exactly the mindset that ARPEDIO is trying to implement. And now you know why the first four letters of the company name are A-R-P-E. Dio is italian for God and that is the level (according to Maslow) we all strive for.

I feel very priviliged being on board this exiting project which you can read much more about on the ARPEDIO website.

ARPEDIO is a softwareapplication company which strives to deliver unprecedented software applications to business professionals. The first app is targeting salesprofessionals in competetive markets with complex sales cycles.
